Kelisha Tillotson is the founder and lead planner behind Magnolia Moss Events, bringing more than a decade of experience, cultural fluency and logistical expertise to every celebration she leads.
Kelisha approaches every wedding and event with the same philosophy: understand the people first, then build the celebration around what matters to them.

I planned my first wedding for a family friend while I was still in school, and I learned the logistics the real way: on the floor, on deadline, with no room to panic. Staying calm in the middle of chaos became second nature.
In 2018 I launched Magnolia Moss Events here in Baton Rouge. What began as a one-woman operation has grown into a full-service planning studio serving couples and families across Louisiana.
Somewhere along the way the work stopped being about logistics for me. Planning celebrations became my life. I want the people I work with to feel understood, so I put myself in their shoes before I plan anything. The thing brides tell me most is that I'm the only one who said they don't have to do it the way everybody else does. It's your wedding, your way.
I still bring that same discipline to every celebration I plan, whether it's a wedding, a cultural ceremony or a milestone. I carry the timelines, the vendors, the families and the traditions, so you get to be present for it.

HOW Magnolia Moss Events PLANS YOUR CELEBRATION.
From our first conversation to the final send-off.
PHASE 01
CONNECT
We get to know you first.
We begin with a detailed questionnaire and a one-on-one consultation with Kelisha to understand your celebration, priorities, budget and vision. From there, we finalize your scope of work, planning package and contract. A retainer reserves your date.
PHASE 02
DESIGN
Your vision starts taking shape.
When décor and floral design are part of your package, we create a design direction for your celebration, with a mood board covering style, décor, florals, theme and color palette. Décor and floral installation can also be added to a planning package.
PHASE 03
PLANNING
We handle the moving pieces.
Be as involved or as hands-off as feels right for you. We serve as the liaison between you and your vendors while guiding venue and vendor selection, budget management, logistics and the many decisions that keep your celebration on track.
PHASE 04
FINAL PREP
Everything gets its place.
About four weeks before your event, we move into final preparation: creating your detailed timeline, floor plan and task list, following up with vendors and settling what remains. One to two weeks before the event, the final documents go to every vendor.
PHASE 05
EXECUTION
You celebrate. We run the day.
The Magnolia Moss Events team arrives ahead of the start time to oversee your vendors, manage logistics and direct the flow of the day so your plans happen as intended. We stay through teardown so your celebration ends as smoothly as it began.
PHASE 06
POST-EVENT
We see it through to the end.
Our work doesn't end when the celebration does. Afterward, we send a post-event report and questionnaire and invite you to share your experience. Every excellent review matters to our business, but more importantly, we work hard to earn it.
